Below are details of the OPITO approved training courses now available at our first training centre in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)

This course is designed to provide delegates with a basic knowledge of safety and emergency response procedures for working in offshore environments. You will gain a basic level of understanding and awareness of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations, and of the safety regime and safety management systems in place to control and mitigate those hazards. The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training)

This course is designed to meet further emergency training requirements for oil and gas industry personnel. Delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training course content.

You will be given further training to enhance and complement your existing knowledge of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations and the course forms part of your ongoing emergency training programme.

HUET & EBS (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training & Emergency Breathing System )

This training is for offshore personnel in contact with a helicopter and one which requires safety training. During this training programme delegates will have an opportunity to practice and demonstrate skills which it is not possible to practice offshore during drills, exercises and offshore training. They will be required to demonstrate their skills and the level of knowledge and understanding of the following: Helicopter emergencies - Emergency Breathing System (EBS) equipment, Helicopter escape, EBS Familiarization, Practical Helicopter Escape, and In-Water Procedures.

H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide)

This 4 hour course is designed to explain the knowledge and skills necessary to react in a H2S Emergency or situation. Upon successful completion of the H2S training, you will be able to, identify the hazards of working with dangerous atmospheres and mitigate exposure to Hydrogen Sulphide.

Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) is an extremely dangerous chemical that is found in many workplaces in both identified and unidentified environments. Because of the extreme risk to life this chemical causes, this training course will aid employers and workers in identifying and more importantly, dealing with the hazards associated with H2S.

AGT (Authorized Gas Testing)

This programme is designed to meet the initial training and assessment requirements for personnel preparing to work as Authorized Gas Testers. On completion of this course, trainees will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the necessary skills to perform a gas test survey as part of the requirements for ensuring a safe working environment where toxic or flammable gases may be present or there could be too little or too much oxygen present.
